What this policy covers
This policy covers the Inch Plus Android app (package com.alexshatalin.inchplus) and the Inch Plus calculator website, provided by Riverside Developers LLC. It does not cover the separate FieldLedger product.
The Android app
Measurements, calculations and saved history are processed and stored on your device. The app does not send them to us. It has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or in-app crash-reporting service.
The app stores recent calculations and your language and appearance preferences locally. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or photos. App data is excluded from Android’s automatic backup and device-transfer backup.
Copy places an answer on your device’s clipboard. Paste reads clipboard content only when you choose that action. Other apps and your device’s clipboard services handle copied content under their own settings.
Google Play may independently process installation information and provide platform diagnostics under its own policies and your device settings. This is separate from data sent by Inch Plus.
The calculator website
Calculations run in your browser. We do not send your entered measurements or saved calculations to a server. Browser history here means the calculations you save inside Inch Plus, not your web browsing history.
We use your browser’s local storage to keep up to 30 saved calculations and remember your language and appearance choices. We do not add advertising cookies, analytics trackers, third-party fonts or embedded social-media widgets.
The website is hosted on DigitalOcean App Platform. To deliver and protect the website, the hosting and content-delivery providers process technical request information such as your IP address, requested page, request time and browser information. Provider infrastructure may retain operational or security logs. This information is separate from the measurements you type into the calculator. See DigitalOcean’s privacy policy for its practices.
When you choose Copy, the site writes the displayed answer to your clipboard. It does not monitor your clipboard.
When you contact support
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer you, investigate the issue and maintain relevant support records. Email providers process the message to deliver and store it.
We do not sell your personal information or use support messages for advertising. Service providers may process information to provide hosting and email services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and the security of the service.
Keeping and deleting data
Saved calculations remain on your device or in your browser until you clear them, they are replaced by newer entries beyond the 30-entry limit, or the app or browser removes its stored data.
- Website: open History and choose Clear history. To remove preferences too, clear this website’s data in your browser settings. Private browsing or clearing website data may remove saved calculations.
- Android: clear history inside the app, or clear the app’s storage in Android settings to remove its saved data and preferences.
We cannot retrieve or delete device-only calculations remotely. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request and related support, security or legal obligations. Hosting providers control retention of their infrastructure logs under their policies.
You can email us to ask about, correct or request deletion of personal information you have provided to support. Available rights depend on your location; we may need to verify your request and retain information required by law.
External services and links
If you open a reference guide, an app-store link or an email link, the destination service receives the information needed to handle that visit or message. Its own privacy policy applies. Hosting and email services may process information outside your country.
Children
Inch Plus is intended for adult trade and DIY use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child has sent personal information to support, contact us to request its deletion.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date if our practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
